Chapter Rally at Eureka Springs

The Razorback Chapter held its annual rally at Eureka Springs September 11-14, 2008. Our presidents, Alan and Suzanne Strickland, greeted a dozen couples, plus our Regional Director, Larry Wood, to the Wanderlust RV Park for three days of food and fun. We were treated to three breakfasts and two dinners in the park, and enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Myrtle Mae's. This later meal was furnished by our state Newmar dealer in Russellville, Outdoor Living Center. This business also furnished a nice door prize. The group also enjoyed a good country show at the Ozark Mountain Hoedown.

Lots of time was spent on the front porch of the park's activity building, just rocking and talking. Games inside the building were Pegs & Jokers; Thirty-One; Card Bingo; and bean bag toss. We also had plenty of time to visit some local sites such as the Christ of the Ozarks statue and Thorncrown Chapel.

The annual business meeting was presided over by our president. The minutes and financial statements were presented by secretary-treasurer, Jane Reynolds. Our Regional Director presented information about the NKK and Newmar at the national level.

Current officers were re-elected by acclamation: Alan and Suzanne Strickland, presidents; Ken and Dee Cox, vice-presidents; and Bill & Jane Reynolds, secretary-treasurers.

Much discussion time was given to ways for having at least two more rallies in addition to the state and chapter rallies each year. It was not known if a state rally was being planned as no one had received any information from our state directors.

The rally was a real success and everyone departed with a renewed interest in the club and it's future.
